Allow your displays to be shared.
Follow the setup prompts to allow Screen Recording in System Settings. If you want remote pointer, keyboard or window-control features, grant the permissions the app explains for those actions.
- 03
Meet your Mac in Vision Pro.
Install VisionDesk from the App Store. Keep both devices on the same private network, select your Mac, and enter the pairing code shown by the companion. Start streaming on your Mac.
- 04
Make room for your work.
Enter the workspace. Start with one display, choose its size and distance, and arrange it where it feels comfortable. Pro adds more screens and reusable workspaces.
Recommended connection
For the best experience,
share your Mac’s internet.
Connect your Mac by Ethernet, then use macOS Internet Sharing to create a dedicated Wi-Fi network for Vision Pro. This can reduce competition with other wireless devices and give your workspace a steadier connection.
Wired internet to your Mac.
A dedicated Wi-Fi network.
Join the Mac’s network.
- Connect your Mac to the router using Ethernet, directly or through a compatible adapter.
- Open System Settings → General → Sharing → Internet Sharing. Open its configuration options.
- Share your connection from Ethernet with devices using Wi-Fi. Set a network name and a strong password, then enable Internet Sharing.
- On Vision Pro, open Wi-Fi settings and join the network you just created. Open VisionDesk on both devices and connect.
This is our recommended setup when Ethernet is available. Results still depend on your hardware and wireless environment. A good private router network also works; Internet Sharing is optional. To return to your usual network, turn off Internet Sharing and reconnect Vision Pro to your router.

Make sure your Mac is awake, VisionDesk is open, and the two devices are on the same network. Guest Wi-Fi, VPNs or firewall settings can prevent them from discovering each other.
